If we buy and hold for this week, the balance of our account will increase by 3.7%. Unfortunately, we don't know the future. We didn't know we would have an awesome week. :-) .
I was skeptical about the last Friday's big reversal so that I held the short positions into this week.
The future rallied on Sunday night and I really wanted to close the short positions. Remember the rule I set for myself? Don't trade after hours. I can't break the rule!
Check out the post on Monday and I closed the shorts around 1955. I lost around 20 pts per contract. But I didn't go all in on Monday. I've kept adding long positions with slight hedges and I was out all on Thursday before the Fed's notes. (Oh, well, I could have made more if I held until the end of the day on Thursday). This is a very big improvement for me. I've set a weekly goal for me and I need to be out once the goal is reached.
I feel really good that I actually did it after several failed attempts. I saw a really good set up by the end of Thursday so that I built my position again.
The market view for next week? I will add more later.
Is it sucker's rally? I don't care. I respect the price.
