Last two days

  My account got a hit  since the positions were not balanced anymore. So I added short back at the end of the yesterday.

   When the market was down 100pts today, I tempted to reduce the short positions. But I was not 100% sure so that I replaced the added short positions yesterday with the out-of-money shorted calls.

   Look at the bright side, I still have a positive YTD return this year.

I closed some short position this morning. I will wait until the last hour to see whether I need to do anything.

Market is still flat. No action is taken.

My Goal in the stock market

  My goal in the stock market is to collect money from the market on the regular basis. It is just like collecting paychecks no matter the market is up or down. It generates the additional income for us. So I never bet big on any direction. If the market goes against me, I still have plenty money to adjust the situation.

  Can I quit my job? No, I love my job. it is fun. Oh, I forgot to mention that I have two master degrees and I still constantly got emails/calls from recuitors asking me to join their companies. :-) 

    Making money from the market to is fun also. It is the confirmation of the efficiency of my trading method.

  I handled it pretty well. As a result, I made money from both long and short side. The market has been down for a couple weeks prior this week. My plan was to reduce the short positions if the maket kept going down. That is what I did on Monday and Tuesday and also added more long positions. As a result, I got the explosure fee everyday after that.

 I decided to ignore the explosure fee for now. It is annoying though. I reduced a little long position on Wednesday, added a little long yesterday, booked some profit and  hedged the remaining positions today.

The market rallied today.

 I closed NQ for over 100pt per contract. I closed 20% of ES positions and I expect that there is still some room for the market going higher later.  After closing NQ at 4410, I felt that something was missing.   As a result, I bought 1 NQ at 4418 to make myself feel better. But I did a sell covered call on it. It will be gone by Friday if there is no surprise.

Weekly update

   A losing week. The overall loss is small since I made money from Monday to Thursday. Anyway, I hope that I can do it better next week.

  I may not update the blog that much since there is not much new in my trading style for the last three years. I also will be busy with work and other things.

3/6/15 Friday update

My account is more than 5K lower than  what is yesterday. Today's drop pretty much wiped out all the gain this week and let me have a negitive week.

Oh, well. It is ok. :-)

3/5/15 Thursday update

It is a pretty range bound market. I need to unload some long positions or hedge them with shorts since my broker charged me the stupid explosure fee again yesterday.

I will do it in the last hour of the trading.

3/4/15 Wednesday update

The position is not in balance! I lose money when it is out of balance. I will see what I can do in the last hour.

Actually I bought long at SPX.2090. It is back in balance again.

3/3/15 Tuesday update

Closed some shorts and add some longs by 7am.

I've been in a planning meeting with the team since 7:30am. My position is balanced so far.  It is a better day if you are a day-trader.

  I'm so tired and have so many things to do at work.  (Updated at 3:15pm).  Geeze,  I don't even work hard when I trade. I bought 1 YM for fun during the meeting later  and got out for 50 pts gain. (Effortless. :-)

3/2/15 Monday update

Nasdaq: 5000.

Although I really want to short, I respect the market. I adjusted the position today.

Another winning day today. Oh, well. I can't make money everyday.  If I can't, I don't want to lose big. I can give back a little.
