YTD Performance

   One more time, % doesn't mean anything.  I'm a trader and am willing to user certain capital to trade.

   I will start the same number again next year.  If I'm lucky, I might be able to buy another house with the down payment from the stock market.

   I'm pretty much done for this year.

    Percentage performance holds much more value than just P/L numbers. A person with a $50K account that makes $2000 for the year is performing much lower than a person with a $20K account making the same profit. It measures the ability to provide a return on total capital available.

    Looks like you have a great year - congrats!
